Grant gives to those in need

USD 115 Nemaha Central received a $4,000 grant distribution from the CNB/CNB Custody/Invisor “Underprivileged Children Fund” to assist children in need at the school.  Some of the items purchased through the grant were school supplies, winter gear, snack milk, and bags of food for the weekend. Krista Stallbaumer, NCEMS Student-Family Liaison, shared the importance of filling tummies with nutritious food and how the bags are packed with the assistance from the FFA and FCCLA clubs.Non-profit organizations in Nemaha County who serve underprivileged children are encouraged to apply for funding at www.nemahastep.org.
